Sayaka Kachi

I’m drawn to deep tech because behind every ambitious idea is a team of people trying to make something that has never existed before. Having spent more than five years building teams inside global R&D and AI environments, I understand both the excitement of that work and how difficult it can be to find the right people to move it forward.

I’ve partnered with technical leaders across the world to build teams of AI researchers, software engineers and robotics specialists. Working across different countries and cultures has made me naturally curious, I enjoy learning what drives people, understanding different perspectives and finding the connection between someone’s passion and a company’s mission.

At The Onset, I bring that international, in-house experience to Sydney’s deep-tech community. I take the time to understand what each client is building and why it matters, then help them find people with the skills, curiosity and motivation to bring it to life.
